OTC serial # search and build sheet

Good Morning WCHA. My name is Ian Ferguson and I would like to learn more about the OTC that I may aquire. It is a 15' wood/canvas squareback paddler that does not have a rowing seat. The serial # is either L54763-15 or 154763-15....it really looks like an L and not a 1 but...? Ultimately I'd like to get a copy of the build sheet. Thank you, Ian

Welcome, the Old Town canoe with serial number 154763 is a 15 foot long, CS (common sense or middle) grade, square end paddling model with open spruce gunwales, half ribs, a keel, and outside stems. It was built between September and November, 1950. The original exterior paint color was dark green enamel. It shipped on March, 29th, 1951 to North Berwick, Maine. Benson, Many thanks for your speedy reply to my request for info on OT 154763. I was told it was s 1950 model but it is great to have that fact verified. I will be making a donation to WCHA in the form of a membership. Ian
