Thanks Benson. I'm not sure what prompted that, but I did scan my records for this boat and I had two color copies of the build sheet saved. You must have sent them to me a while ago.
I was never able to acquire the double paddle, but I do still have the backrest and on it, the old decal shown above. That is the same decal displayed on Dan's site. Your Indian Old Town is the only older one I am aware of, but there must be others.
The old images (family albums), double paddle and the camp associated with this canoe are no more. A few years after I bought the boat, the camp burned to the ground. I feel lucky that I bought the canoe when I did.
I no longer own it. A few years ago I sold it to someone who decided that keeping his earnings from panning gold in Australia in the bank was unsafe, so he was investing in old things, cars, canoes, things with material value. So the 06 OT DG AA is now in the hands of its third owner.
The reason for selling it was to make room for a different canoe. Somehow, I managed to replace it with three of them. My efforts to downsize have been a failure.
