OT Ribs

Curious about Wooden Canoes
I am ready to steam and bend the replacement ribs for the 1928 OTCA. I have the taper and width matched to the original. The only thing left before bending is to replicate the campfer on the edge.

I might match it with hand planing, but what is the use of a shop full of power tools if you never get to use them.

So the question is- what sized router bit do you use to campfer the edge? Or is it just a matter of any size as long as you get the height adjustment correct?

Thanks

I used a 3/4" round over bit and found that by raising or lowering the bit I could come pretty close to the rounded edge of my 1929 HW or my 1952 Yankee. Yes, the edge was different and probably not intentional but most likely normal factory set up differences dependant on who was doing the set up.
