A previous request for this build record showed up in January, 2002 so I have been down this path before. The 151548 record is cleverly stored with the 154000 records at image number 58628. The 154377 record is with the 151000 records at 60637 as Mike mentioned and the 149128 records are misfiled after the 150128 records in case anyone else is interested.
The Old Town canoe with serial number 151548 is a 15 foot long, AA grade, fifty pound model with white Maine cedar planking, open mahogany gunwales, a keel, outside stems, and a floor rack. It was built between August and October, 1948. The original exterior paint color was dark green. It shipped on May 12th, 1949 to Washington, D. C. A scan of this build record can be found by following the link at the attached thumbnail image below.
This scan and several hundred thousand others were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others as you probably know well. A description of the project to preserve these records is available at
http://www.wcha.org/ot_records/ if you want more details. I hope that you will renew your membership to the WCHA so that services like this can continue. See
http://www.wcha.org/wcha/ to learn more about the WCHA and
http://www.wcha.org/join.php to join.
It is also possible that you could have another number or manufacturer if this description doesn't match your canoe. Feel free to reply here if you have any other questions. It was great to meet you in person on Saturday and thanks for not bidding me up,
Benson
