I was recently given this canoe which I will restore this spring. I was told it is a 1941 Otca, however the decks don't look right. I was hoping to get more information on it. Thanks for your help.

Paul,

This canoe was shipped on May 22, 1940 to Danbury, CT. It was built as a 16' "HW" model in CS grade with spruce gunwales (no mention of seats, etc) was equipped with a keel and the original color was Royal Blue.

A build record is attached.
