I would like as much "selling" information as possible. The serial number is 175247. The deck was replaced to original specs in '98 by the original owner. Some hardware has been replaced but all is in great condition. It has always been garage kept. I also believe this was purchased out of a catalog in 1964 for $1295.00.
Thank you in advance, Gordon

The Old Town with serial number 175247 is a 13.5 foot long, Whitecap model with a long deck, seats, outside stems, and a floor rack. It was built between September and December, 1965. The original exterior paint color was white. It first shipped on February 1st, 1966 but was returned for credit on August 16th, 1966. The back side of the card shows that it was later shipped to Newbury, Mass. on March 21st, 1967.

Scans showing both sides of this build record can be found by following the links at the thumbnail images attached below. These scans and several hundred thousand others were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others. A description of the project to preserve these records is available at http://www.wcha.org/ot_records/ if you want more details. I hope that you will join or renew your membership to the WCHA so that services like this can continue. See http://www.wcha.org/about-the-wcha/ to learn more about the WCHA and http://store.wcha.org/WCHA-New-Membership.html to join.

The catalog price was up to $1445 when this sold in 1967. The classifieds here at http://wcha.org/pp-classifieds/showcat.php?cat=4 might be a good place to list this. Please reply here if you have any other questions.

Sorry for taking so long to reply.
Are there any resources for pricing this sailboat, or do you have any idea what range if this is in good/great condition?
