Hello,
We bought a second hand Old Town Tripper Canoe about 13 years ago. The seriel number is 227742. Is it possible to know when it was made?

Welcome and congratulations, the Old Town canoe with serial number 227742 is a 17 foot long Chipewyan Tripper model with aluminum inserts in the rails, rotationally molded seats, and decks that weighed 82 pounds. It was built between July and October, 1979. The original exterior color was green. It shipped on October 25th, 1979 to West Springfield, Massachusetts.
