Curious about Wooden Canoes

The Old Town canoe with serial number 173494 is an 11 foot long fifty pound model with a keel. It was built between November, 1963 and February, 1964. The original exterior canvas covering was painted dark green. It shipped on April 26th, 1965 to Keene, New Hampshire. A scan showing this build record can be found below.
This scan and several hundred thousand more were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others as you probably know well.
