Welcome and congratulations, the Old Town canoe with serial number 21426 is a 17 foot long, AA (or top) grade, Charles River model with red western cedar planking, open mahogany gunwales, mahogany decks, mahogany thwarts, mahogany seats, half ribs, mahogany outside finish rails, and a keel. It was built between March and April, 1912 The original exterior paint was silver gray. It shipped on April, 12th, 1912 to Williamsport, Pennsylvania. (This date is based on an identical canoe with serial number 21426 that shipped with the same destination and order number.) The back side of this record indicates that there was a previous request for this information in May, 1987 from Palmyra, Pennsylvania. Scans showing both sides of this build record can be found below.
These scans and several hundred thousand more were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others. A description of the project to preserve these records is available at
http://www.wcha.org/catalogs/old-town/records/ if you want more details. I hope that you will donate, join or renew your membership to the WCHA so that services like this can continue. See

It is also possible that you could have another number or manufacturer this description doesn't match the canoe. Feel free to reply here if you have any other questions.
