I have an Old Town 18' Guide canoe, serial # 126006. would apreciate any help available to obtain build record and history. Intend to restore to original condition if possible. Thank you, Glenn Schmidt.

The canoe you reference was shipped on May 8, 1939 to Milwaukee, WI., as an 18' Guide with "Guide Special" trim. It was built with spruce gunwales, birch decks, thwarts, seats and a keel. The original color was Guide Special green. A build record is attached.
