The Old Town canoe with serial number 174921 is a 16 foot long FG (fiberglass) model with a keel that weighed 70 pounds. It was built in June, 1965. The original colors were jade green on the hull, white on the decks and gray on the interior. It shipped on July 2nd, 1965 to Washington, D. C. The back side shows the details of the layup. Scans showing both sides of this build record can be found by following the links at the attached thumbnail images below.
These scans and several hundred thousand others were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others as you probably know well. That's the one! Marshall Wood was my great-grandfather and the canoe is still in the family.
