Old Town decks
The deck with the name plate is from a 1979 Old Town Guide. It looks like the
Old Town decks that I’m familiar with. The other deck is on a 1940 Old Town 50 Pounder. Did the true “50 Pounder” have a deck as shown?

Yes, the traditional Old Town deck shape changed in the early 1940s to become more round in the middle. The fifty pound series decks also became shorter and less shaped in the late 1940s. Let me know if this doesn't answer your question. Thanks,
