Old town canoe SN 87450 18

Welcome and congratulations, the Old Town canoe with serial number 87450 is an 18 foot long, CS (Common Sense or middle) grade, GS (guide's special) model with red Western cedar planking, open spruce gunwales, birch decks, birch thwarts, birch seats, and a keel. It was built between March, 1925 and May, 1926. The original exterior paint color was dark green. It shipped on June 14th, 1926 to Brookline, Mass. Thank you benson for the speedy reply! I’m excited to have found the information on this boat. It needs new decks and gunwales, inner and outer but other than that, the planking and ribs are in fantastic shape. It was glasses over at one point and I may peel the glass off and canvas it, not sure yet.
