The Old Town Canoe Company spent a lot of money on advertising right from their earliest days. I was surprised to learn recently that they were buying big illustrated advertisements in Forest and Stream and other national publications within their first year of operation. They also used postcards starting in the early 1900s as shown below.

The messages are a bit vague so these may have simply been reminders for people who had recently asked for a catalog or some other information from the factory. I was a bit confused when a postcard showing the Main Street in Brattleboro, Vermont showed up on eBay recently with an Old Town Canoe name-plate on the back as shown below.

This is unused so may have simply been from a test run at the printer since the alignment is a bit off. Another mystery,
