Old Town serial number 89009 belonged to a 17-foot CS (common sense or middle grade) HW model that was started in 1925 and finished in 1927. It had open spruce gunwales and ash decks. It also had a keel and outside stems. I can't completely read the color, but it was red. On July 18, 1927, it was shipped to New Haven, Conn.

This scan and several hundred thousand others were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others.
