Old Town ABS with wood trim; XTC90177E303

This belongs to a friend who bought it used some years ago from someone in Burlington, VT. I thought Benson or someone else might know something about it. It is 16' White ABS with mahogany outwales. Decorated below the outwales with a strip of red and blue triangles similar to #4. Rumored to be built as a display model for LLBean Store. Records may have been lost in the factory fire.

The hull identification number indicates that it was made in May of 2003 for the 2003 model year. The paper records stopped in the mid-1990s so no detailed information is available. It is probably one of their Limited Edition Camper models as shown on the cover of the 2003 catalog at https://www.wcha.org/catalogs/old-town/covers/2003.jpg and described below.

There have been many fires at the factory over the years but I'm not aware of one that ever caused the loss of any serial number records. However, that was the excuse commonly given by people in the store to customers asking for information that couldn't easily be delivered.
