Old Town 50 Pounder #166486

Hello,
I’m the new caretaker of Old Town #166486. This is a 13’ 50 Pounder. I would greatly appreciate someone sharing the build sheet if they could. I think the second to last digit of the serial number is an 8. I’ve shared a picture of the stem to see you agree. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

The Old Town canoe with serial number 166486 is 18 feet long so that isn't a good match. My guess is that you have serial number 166496. This is a 13 foot long, CS (common sense or middle) grade, fifty pound model with a keel. It was built between August and September, 1957. The original exterior paint color was dark green. It was shipped on March 11th, 1959 to Woodstock Valley, Connecticut. A scan showing this build record can be found below.

Thank Benson! I believe you are correct with the serial number. This is the time period I had assumed. Always interesting to see the build sheets. I really appreciate you taking time to share this information.
