Need any info on this canoe. Also how to find a value. And where to get help on restoring mainly canvas work?

Hello Shawn,
Old Town 20579 is an 18 foot CS (common sense or middle) grade CR (Charles River) model canoe that was completed January to April 1912 with red Western cedar planking, birch decks/thwarts/seat frames and a keel. It was originally dark green. It was shipped to Ann Arbor, MI, on April 8, 1912, which was two days before the sinking of the Titanic. This scan and several hundred thousand others were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others. A description of the project to preserve these records is available at http://www.wcha.org/ot_records/ if you want more details. I hope that you will join or renew your membership to the WCHA so that services like this can continue. Many here have done their own canvassing, if that's all your canoe needs. If it needs a full restoration, you could get help with that too... either for someone to do the whole job or to work along side you or whatever is decided.
