The Old Town canoe with serial number 110997 is shown as 18 feet long, CS (common sense or standard) grade, Guide model with western red cedar planking, open spruce gunwales, oak decks, seats, and thwarts, and equipped with a keel. The canoe was completed in June 1932. The original exterior paint was dark green. It was shipped to Plainwell, Michigan on June 28, 1932. (Plainwell is near Kalamazoo.)
The Old Town canoe with serial number 110697 is shown as 18 feet long, AA (top) grade, Otca model with western red cedar planking, open Mahogany gunwales, decks, seats, and thwarts, and was equipped with a mast step, mast seat, rudder, and bobstay (I'm not sure what a bobstay on a canoe would be -- it is usually rigging associated with a bowsprit). The build dates are illegible, except that it was built in 1932. The original exterior paint was design # 32. It was shipped to Long Island City, New York on June 1, 1932.
A scan of both build records can be found by following the link behind the thumbnail images attached below.

This scan and several hundred thousand others were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others. A description of the project to preserve these records is available at
http://www.wcha.org/ot_records/ if you want more details. I hope that you will join or renew your membership to the WCHA so that services like this can continue. See
http://www.wcha.org/about-the-wcha/ to learn more about the WCHA and
http://store.wcha.org/WCHA-New-Membership.html to join.
It is also possible that you could have another number or manufacturer if this description doesn't match your canoe.
Feel free to reply here if you have any other questions.
