Hello--
Old Town 118058 is an 18 foot CS (common sense or middle) grade HW (heavy water) model canoe that was finished June-December 1936. It has red Western cedar planking, open spruce gunwales, ash decks, ash thwarts, ash seat frames, a keel and an original color of dark green. The canoe was shipped to Birmingham, Michigan, October 13, 1937. A copy of the scan of this record is attached below-- click on it to get a bigger image.
This scan and several hundred thousand others were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others.
