LOVES Wooden Canoes
North River Boatworks was located at 6 Elm St in Albany NY. Unfortunately for a boat lover like me, they closed the shop just before my wife and I moved into 3 Elm St, directly across the street, in 1998. One of the people involved with the shop was Frank Houde, who lived in the same block. I had the pleasure of collaborating with him on a couple of projects, including restoration of the front doors for the nearby St. Anthony's Church when it was re-purposed as the community center named Grand Street Community Arts.
