This is the canoe I am building for my father. It is Rollins "Whisper". Crotch figure Mahogany for the decks, and figured Mahogany for the thwart. No seats. Mahogany for the outwales as well.

Mark, glad your latest result went much better. Those decks look awesome, my friend makes goose calls and has used crotch walnut, looks great - that mahogany looks even better.

Thanks Andre. Using White Cedar made all the difference in the world. It bent like butter, and I didn't have the splitting problems I had with the Red. Pain in the ass boat to plank though! I'd love to see how Rollin does it.
