The Old Town canoe with serial number 167579 is an 18 foot long Guide model with a keel. It was built between April and December, 1958. The original exterior paint color was Guide's Special green. It shipped on April 20th, 1959 to Royal Oak, Michigan. A scan showing this build record can be found by following the link at the attached thumbnail image below.
This scan and several hundred thousand others were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others.
