Need Help With Kennebec And Old Town Serial Numbers

Greetings. I own Old Town canoe 168035-13, I believe it to be a 50 pounder, any intel would be appreciated

A close friend has Kennebec 12846, a fine canoe in original condition andy intel on that would also be greatly apreciated.

Welcome and congratulations, the Old Town build record for serial number 168035 shows a 13.5 foot long lapstrake sailboat so that doesn't seem much like your canoe. My guess is that you have serial number 168085 which is a 13 foot long fifty pound model with a keel. It was built between September, 1958 and January, 1959. The original exterior paint color was dark green. It shipped on April 21st, 1959 to Framingham, Mass.
