The Old Town canoe with serial number 144836 is a 16 foot long, AA (top or premium) grade Otca model with open mahogany gunwales, seats, decks and thwarts, and equipped with a keel,
floor rack, mast seat and step, rub rails, with rudder attached. It was built between April and June 1946. The original exterior paint was done in design # 45. It was shipped to Lexington, Massachusetts on June 29, 1946. Scans of this build record and paint scheme can be found by following the links behind the thumbnail images attached below.
This scan and several hundred thousand others were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others.
