I looked your s/n up and this is the info. Kathy will have to post the build record because I don't know how to do that. She'll be home later.
Your canoe is indeed a 16ft. CS grade Yankee Aug 7 1936. Oak deck, keel painted Dk. Green sent to Hanson (I think) Duluth Co. Duluth Minn.
The information is on the disks compiled by Benson Gray and Dan Miller. Kathy will supply more information on that.

The canoe has Western red cedar planking (the "WC" notation) and not only are the decks oak, but the thwarts and seat frames are as well (those "dittos" beneath "oak").
Looks like "Hanson" to me, too.

Thanks for the build record. Yes, it is "Hanson". Years ago, when I first got the build record from Old Town (but have since lost it), I was told by a reference librarian at the Duluth Public Library that the Hanson Duluth Co. was closed when the interstate was put in in the '50's or '60's.
