Mystery canoe

I have an old canoe with the serial number 1074 1492 stamped in the bow stem. It is 16' long and about 33" wide at the centre thwart. It has 1 1/2" ribs somewhat similar to the Chestnut ribs (I have a Chestnut Pal) but less rounded and a little more angular. The planking is 3" wide and 5/32" thick. It once had a keel, the outer gunwales are missing and the inner gunwales have been cut in half The deck appears to be about 11" long (from approximate point at front to the furthest point of the triangular deck). It was painted red and was apparently made somewhere in mid-Ontario, around Midland. Any ideas?
