Mystery canoe

Hello everyone.

I purchased an old wood canoe, the seller claimed it was a chestnut..But I have my doubts. It is covered with fiberglass...ugh.
The serial number is 15944 50

The canoe is 15.6 x 34x 12

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Hard to see if the one deck is crowned, the stern looks flat. Seems to be a Canadian Canoe Company model 50. Ribs with no taper makes it a later one if so, seat and thwart configuration seems appropriate. Some better photos of the decks and ribs would help

The decks are undercut, but not crowned.

I believe you are correct about the canoe being made by the Canadian canoe company,,,,
Here are a few more photo's...seems I found a faint outline of a decal on the bow deck and the decks have a slight crown Now just need to figure out how old this canoe is...also found slotted screws attached to decks.
