I recently purchased a Great Canadian 16' canoe and can't for the life of me find any info on it. Any help is greatly

It appears to have shipped in February, 1985 based on the hull identification number that you provided. The information at http://www.usps.org/national/safety/HIN/HIN.pdf can help you decode this number. The information at http://uscgboating.org/content/manufacturers-identification-detail.php?id=4543 indicates that the Great Canadian Canoe company went out of business by 1999 so there may not be much more information available.
