Thanks for sharing this great info....very very interesting....and so close too (who'd have thought there'd be a birch bark canoe builder in Arthur, Ontario)....great website....and sharing his talent and the story of the bark canoe with so many....especially schools....I'm looking to hearing any report you write about any visit you make....and I like his tree hugging style too

I contacted Marcel/Mahigan about doing a workshop at Assembly.
Unfortunately, he is booked for those dates this year.
Smart guy though. He has a marketing agent to do the scheduling so he can focus on the building.
