Canoe Grampa
I'm posting this thread in the hope of finding the previous owner of a canoe I recently restored. In the Spring of 2019 I drove down to North Sutton, NH to pick up a Chestnut chum that had been gifted to me. The owner had tried to sell it on the WCHA website but was moving and wanted it to find a good home. The canoe had sentimental value to him as he'd proposed in it under a blue moon.
As a tribute to that occasion I painted it blue and plan on adding a full moon caricature with the date on the bow. I'd hoped to be able to show him the canoe restored but have lost contact with him so I'm hoping he might see this message or something about this story might jog someone's memory?
I've purposely not posted his name as maybe he doesn't want to be found but if anyone thinks they might know the previous owner of this canoe please let me know.
In the attached pictures it's the one on the left unrestored and then a couple of it finished.
Thanks, Gary
