Looking to find out more about this canoe

Serial number appears to be YOT (t may be a 1?)11950100. Refinished wooden canoe 17'10" LOA. Single centre thwart, two cane seats and brass wrapped bow/stern. No internal ribbing.

The YOT at the beginning may indicate that this is a hull identification number and then you may have a canoe from YOT's Inc. as described at http://uscgboating.org/content/manufacturers-identification-detail2.php?id=15240 that shipped in 2000. It appears that they went out of business in 1999 so there might not be much more information available. Hmmm, thought it was a lot older than that! Was given to my daughter and husband as a wedding gift, and was in such pristine looking condition was afraid to even think about actually using it. Guess if it isn't an antique might as well "drive it like you own it!"
