My girlfriend has inherited an Old Town canoe and we were just looking to get some more info on the year of it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Looking For Info On A 16ft Old Town Canoe Serial # 116839

Congratulations and welcome, the Old Town canoe with serial number 116839 is a 16 foot long, CS (common sense or middle) grade, Yankee model with red Western cedar planking, open spruce gunwales, ash decks, ash thwarts, ash seats, and a keel. It was built between December, 1935 and June, 1936. The original exterior paint color was dark green. It shipped on July 3rd, 1936 to Troy, New York.
