Looking for history on used Old Town canoe

Serial number (I think) is Xtc33437e696. It is imprinted into the fiberglass on the outside

The XTC prefix identifies this is an Old Town canoe and the 96 at the end indicates that it shipped in 1996. The information at http://www.boatsafe.com/nauticalknowhow/hin.htm describes how to interpret these numbers. They stopped keeping paper records in 1994 and everyone here only has access to the scanned records that stop around 1983 so there isn't much more that we can offer. Sorry,

Thank you! I did figure out the location and company of manufacturing. Just wasn't certain on the date. Found this one on Craigslist for 250 trailer included. Figured we should jump on it! It has a few cracks in the fiberglass and the wicker on the seats is completely gone. But we tend to be pretty crafty people when it comes to repairs, so we will see what we can do with it!!
