Inwale repair question

Curious about Wooden Canoes
Shots are available at http://usera.imagecave.com/flyrod/ they're large size and I hate having threads roll off the right of the page.

The quick story. It appears as though the canoe got blown half off the rack and hung from one side. Both thwarts and the rear seat have been pulled out. There's a small canvas issue, I don't see canvas problems anywhere else.

Can it be glued? Would gluing be a permanent solution?

Thanks!

I think it is a testament to the structural integrity that the damage is so localized. I would say you could repair those with epoxy, but being very careful to keep the glue on the wale surfaces, so the ribs don't adhere to them. That would be a quick fix that would likely hold together. Better, but more work would be to replace those inwales.
