If it's an Old Town, you might have to take another look at the number.
I first ran 46455 thinking that the last number you quoted - 14 might be the length of a square stern boat. That turns up on a 17' Otca from 1917.
Then I ran 53314, thinking that you mis read the 16 as a 46 - that shows up on an 18' Otca from 1919 - Interesting - this boat was painted Purple!
A few possibilities... The numbers on older boats are hard to read and a square stern boat only gives you one chance - take a closer look. It is also possible that this boat started life as a canoe, but someone converted it to a square stern years ago to accomodate a motor.
Third possibility, of course is that this is not an Old Town - can you take a couple of pictures of the profile, decks, inside stems and thwarts. We may be barking up the wrong tree completely.
Post back here after you take another look.
