I have a White Canoe Co that I would love some help identifying so I can try and restore as close to original as possible. HIN WHC61747M80J any info would be greatly appreciated!
There are no White serial number records available from before 1984 when they were purchased by Old Town. The HIN indicates that it was made by White in May, 1980. The page below from an early 1980s White catalog may help. Good luck,
Thanks for the info. Would they have made the 16’ Scout in green as well as red? My canoe looks exactly like the 18’ guide and 20’ cruiser shown but definitely measures 16’.
Probably, canoe companies will usually make a canoe in any color that a customer is willing to pay for. Green is historically the most common color for canoes.
Pufferplateau, the balsa doesn't add strength, it just keeps the inner and outer fiberglass layers apart, and the separation is what adds strength. Kind of like the vertical part of an I beam.
like car windshield , soft material betwen two thin hard parts is better than one hard , and a canoe is round, inside and outside dont works in the same time ...
