Help Identifying This Form

I found this listing of someone selling (what appears to be) a canoe form. I assume it would be used for strip canoe building because there are no metal straps like a W/C strong back. Any thoughts? Is it possible to build a something off a form of unknown origin? Any help or education would be greatly appreciated!

Looks like a form for a Tom Hill-designed glued plywood lapstrake canoe. It is described in his book Ultralight Boatbuilding.
