Hello new to canoeing, and wooden boat restoration

Hi all. I was gifted an Old Town Canoe that need a little TLC. My friend is an experienced canoe builder and restorer. He will be helping me on my journey as I learn how to properly deconstruct the canoe to bring it back to its glory days.
I am looking forward to meeting all of you and share the restoration as we progress.
