Hello Folks
I have been paddling a wood stripper that I made myself 6yrs ago amongst friends from the UK WCHA for a while now and just recently was given (via Nick Dennis) a lovely unmarked though probably Strickland canoe which I am currently restoring.
I will no doubt have plenty of questions as work progresses and have already been gleaning information from previous posts on this excellent forum.

I'm sure I will be posting quite a lot along with my questions!
I am currently wondering about how to treat what looks like white lead around the stems.I want to tidy it up but also don't want to risk pulling out old soft wood underneath..
