Happy?

I'm assuming since New York came in on the bottom that they didn't include people with canoes upstate and the Adirondacks in their survey.

Methinks Huge Metro Areas can suck-up all the positive energy in a state, like a giant Black Hole. The Upper Peninsula of Michigan (where we live) is a peaceful place, where one doesn't have to stand in line for motor vehicle registration or to see "Avatar" on opening night... but the Greater Detroit Area has put its stamp on the entire state... even here, above the bridge where the trolls don't live... in a place attached to Wisconsin.

And in no place I've visited is that more apparent than in the great empire state. However, I do believe that the energy they suck up is negative, as in my circles most of the positive is still intact. It dwells on the lakes and streams and in the summer camps and picnic areas of the mountains, and in the workshops of the hill-people.

I've long been an advocate of donating NYC to New Jersey... There is a lot of happiness up here in the Thousand Islands, even though the wind is howling and nine out of 10 restaurants have closed for the season! Even the cats are happy - one of them is sure he'll catch a goose yet this year!

Perhaps my garage is own little piece of hill peoples' workshops, here in the northern end of the Sh!t-cago region. I do find happiness there, even when it gets overrun with kids' projects.
