The tag shows a hull identification number which can be interpreted with the instructions from http://www.boatsafe.com/nauticalknowhow/hin.htm for more details. The GRV at the beginning indicates that it was made by G & R Industries in Auburn, Massachusetts (near Worcester). The page at http://uscgboating.org/content/manufacturers-identification-detail2.php?id=20616 has more information. The 88B on the end means that it was made in September, 1988. The current version of this company has a web site at http://www.greatcanadian.com/ which may be an avenue for more research. Good luck,

Benson
