Grand Lakers

ROB, Thanks for putting this up. I know and feel the area well. My dad took the family up on another real Maine vacation and we stayed at the then Plaisted Camps on Lewey Lake . That was in 195o or so and the bass fishing was unbelievable. When Judy and I were married in 1964 we went right back to Plaisteds for our honeymoon. We went back to the area many times camping , way in on the St. Croix River and on Big Lake , right opposite the Earl Bailey camps. We stayed with Earl one year and , if I recall , he was a Grand Laker builder as well and just a super fella. If you have not been on the water in the area it is something you should do as there are some untouched primitive areas along the River. And to Tobey..... the eel catching on the River was great fun not mention the white perch, OH MY.
Some memories on the water stay fresh, no ?
