Hi All,
I am new to this forum.
I live just south of Boston and am looking for anyone who is ready to start a new birch bark canoe and can share their skill and insight throughout each step. Are there canoe building classes offered in the Boston area? Is anyone willing to take me through step-by-step in the building process.
Any guidance would be much appreciated.

Joe Hull is only guy about here who has done a birchbark. Joe is an ER doc who lives on north shore. His trade keeps him busy. I live in Milton. Bill Conrad picked up a Valliancourt birch bark and lives on South Shore.

I just saw your post now... How the Hull Joe ever had the time to build his hull I don't know! If you know anyone starting a new birchbark, cedar strip or other similar project please let me know. I live in the Foxboro area. I am in the process of refurbishing a Blue Hole with new ash gunwales, yoke, thwarts, babiche leather seats, etc. should keep me busy over the winter.
