Chestnut Prospector

Recently finished this 1970’s Chestnut Prospector, I call “patches.” New decks, inwales, outwales, thwarts, seats… Seven new ribs and a ton of new planking. Several rib tops, and scarfed stems, oh, and that tenacious fiberglass! It was really rotten, and one area looked to be burned. This is my third canoe project. Thanks everyone, for the advice and pictures that have helped me along.

Beautiful canoe. The color really fits that canoe. Is that Kirby medium blue?

Thanks... It is just Rustoleum Royal Blue, over white primer.
