Hey, paddlers!

Our Chautauqua outing, held September 7, is in the books, and it was spectacular. Weather cooperated this year, and we had a stunning paddle on the beautiful Cassedega Lake chain, followed by a picnic at Cassadega Village Park. Then, courtesy of Johanna Arisumi, we went for a Chautauqua Lake tour on the famed Chautauqua Belle, one of America’s four operating steamboats. We completed the day with a history-steeped pizza dinner at The Lawson Center in Bemus Point, capped off by a presentation on the Canoes of Chautauqua Lake by yours truly.

Our next gathering is at Sylvan Canoe Club in Verona, PA, just on the edge of Pittsburgh:

Three Rivers Chapter Annual Meeting
  • Sylvan Canoe Club, 132 Arch St., Verona, PA
  • Saturday, September 27
  • Paddle 10 am
  • Picnic 12 pm
It’ll be a brief meeting. I’ll send out an agenda soon.

And don’t forget Mini Assembly
