Canoe Sticker IDENTIFICATION needed.

Curious about Wooden Canoes
I am using a friend's barn to work on my Peterborough canoe. There is another canoe in the barn that clearly needs some restoration. The manufacturer's sticker is mostly gone. But I have included as much as possible for identification purposes. Does anybody recognize this shape and colour enough to be able to help me identify the maker?

My guess would be a Langford as Dan suggested and shown at another link below.

Definitely a Langford decal. Here's what an intact one would look like:

Langford Canoe Co has been operating under at least 6 different owners since it was founded by Ken Langford, circa 1945. Back then Mr. Langford operated a marina as his primary business. His canoes were marketed with a rectangular decal that read "Langford Marine on Lake of Bays". He died in 1968 and the business was purchased by Kenneth Treadwell. The reverse diamond decal you have dates from this era. Treadwell then sold the business again in 1976 and the business was then incorporated and the factory moved to the Gravenhurst/Bracebridge area. The logo was also changed to be a round shape with a beaver image around this time.

Would be great if you can post more pics of the canoe.

Kevin, is there also a serial number stamped onto the stem on this Langford? Around the time they were using this decal, there might have been a 6 digit code. If so, could you post the number and/or take a pic?
