Hi everyone, long time lurker here....I'm starting to look for my first restoration candidate and this came up for sale not too far from me. Just wondering if anyone can ID this boat. Thanks, much appreciated!

The stern deck looks like it could be an Old Town style. Get the serial number from the inside stems. The link below may help if you don't know where to look or if the numbers are hard to read. Good luck,

Many old wooden canoes and boats have a serial number on both inside stems and a decal or tag with the manufacturer's logo on the bow deck. The number is usually stamped on the top of the lower part of the stems. The inside stems are the long curved pieces of wood that form the ends of the canoe. You want to look on the part that extends out from under the decks on the bottom of the floor inside the hull. The serial numbers are stamped in each end of the canoe so check both if a single digit is not clear. These numbers in the stern of boats are occasionally on the edge of the center...

Welcome aboard!
It appears to have been modified for sailing. Three mast positions and side decks for hiking out is unusual.

At first blush it looks to be an 18' HW model modified for sailing as John said. It will require a lot of work to get it back on the water, however it's not beyond redemption but should not be attempted by the faint of heart. If you decide to go for it we are here to give advice and moral support.
