Canoe color help requested

The first photo of the WCHA header, attributed to Michael Grace, shows two lines of canoes on the green at last years Assembly. In the lower left corner is a beautifully painted canoe; burgundy body and green/black accent stripe. Is it possible to identify the owner, of whom I can request the color name and brand of the burgundy body color? Thank you in advance.

Dave D is probably (arguably?) not!…….one of the very best wooden canoe restoration guys on this planet!!! Truth brothers…….

That would be our Anderson canoe. I painted it with Epifanes #23 Dark Red and Kirby black. That canoe was the subject of an article I wrote for Wooden Canoe a few months back. We are in North Carolina at the moment visiting family. Will be home next week.

Thanks so much for your reply. My wife has decreed that the Atkinson Traveler I'm building has to be burgundy/dark red, etc. and your canoe has stood out as a great example. What a beautiful paint job and accents! Thanks, Pat

PAT, There are decrees and there are decrees. Those with the canoe affliction and an interested partner quickly display a wise and profound comprehension of certain decrees.
