Canoe builder information.

I recently inherited a cedar strip canoe from my late father. It is a 17 foot cedar strip canoe built by Paul Thesenvitz of BW Canoe company, Embarrass Minnesota. Built around 2009. That is the only information passed onto me. I am having a hard time finding any information on the builder, company or the canoe itself. The canoe has been hanging from the ceiling of his garage since 2010 or so. It is new/never been launched. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

His obituary lists several family members that survived him. You might contact the funeral home, tell them what you are looking for, and they might connect you to the family. If anyone knows anything about Paul's canoe building it would be his family. Funeral homes get inquires quite frequently from people doing genealogy research so a request like yours is not unusual. Good luck and enjoy your new canoe.
